::: Μετά τον σε πλήρη στύση τίτλο του δεύτερου δίσκου της (This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That) η Marnie Stern βγάζει δίσκο χωρίς τίτλο, δηλαδή ομώνυμο, στις 18 Οκτωβρίου. Welcome to Jamaica and... have a nice holiday Marnie (είναι η μεσαία στη φωτό).
::: Στην πρώτη κατηγορία ανήκουν τα γκρουπ που έκλεισαν σαν γκρουπ στην εταιρεία (Birthday Party, Pixies, Dead Can Dance, Throwing Muses...), στη δεύτερη αυτά που πήγαν παραπάνω (Matt Johnson/The The, Bauhaus, Cocteau Twins), και στην τρίτη αυτά που έφυγαν και τα έφαγε ο λύκος. Στην τρίτη κατηγορία ανήκουν και οι Celebration, οι προστατευόμενοι του Dave Sitek που μετά από δύο δίσκους κατέβηκαν απ'τη φοράδα. Και τρία χρόνια μετά ετοιμάζουν δίσκο με το όνομα Electric Tarot και τίτλο Hello Paradise. Τα τραγούδια είναι βασισμένα στις κάρτες ταρώ αλλά θα έχουν κανονικούς τίτλους και όχι Ηierophant, Hermit, High Priestess και Wheel of Fortune. Εδώ χαρίζουν τα (συμπαθητικά) 4 πρώτα τραγούδια του δίσκου με αντάλλαγμα να πεις ένα καλό λόγο για το δίσκο στους facebook friends σου. Θα το κάνεις;
::: O δίσκος του Alva Noto και του Blixa Bargeld θα βγει με τα αρχικά τους ANBB (παραλίγο ABBA) και τίτλο Μimikry στις 4/10. Ξεχωρίζω απ'τους τίτλους το I Wish I Was A Mole In The Ground και την πληροφορία πως σε δυο τραγούδια τραγουδάει η εβδομηντάρα Veruschka von Lehndorff, τοπ μόντελ των sixties που τσίμπησε ο Antonioni για το Blowup. Αν έψηναν την Αgnetha θα μπορούσαν να βγουν ως ANBBA και θα είχε πλάκα. Μετά θα διέρρεαν τη φήμη πως επίκειται επανασύνδεση των ABBA με τον Blixa στη θέση του Björn Ulvaeus.
::: Θα εξαντλήσω το B σήμερα. Οι Band of Holy Joy του Johny Brown λίγο πριν τριανταρίσουν έβγαλαν δίσκο με επιρροές made in New York. Paramour το όνομα αυτού και σύμφωνα με τα Rough Trade Shops εγγυημένη η απόλαυση του ανώνυμου αυτιού: arresting folk macabre... bitter-sweet lyricism... brilliant soaring violin work... tales of lust and obsession... sound completely their own.
::: Ένα σοκάκι το έπαθα όταν είδα πόσοι γνωστοί συμμετέχουν στο δίσκο Cho Dependent της άγνωστης Margaret Chο: Jon Brion, Ani DiFranco, Fiona Apple, Tegan and Sara, Andrew Bird, Grant Lee Phillips, Brendan Benson (Raconteurs) κ.α. Έπαθα δεύτερο σοκάκι όταν είδα τίτλους όπως Your Dick, Gimme Your Seed, Eat Shit and Die, Captain Cameltoe, My Puss. Έπαθα όμως και έμαθα πως η Margaret είναι διάσημη αμερικανοκορεάτισα comedian.
